A commission through Primary’s Making Place programme. I collaborated with children at Mellers Primary School to map the world on their doorstep in Radford and make a guided walk. Together we discovered local histories, buildings and places, exploring themes of Home, Work, Shopping and Play. We also talked about how we and our families live in Radford today. In July 2018 the children led a playful, multi-sensory walk for the public to share their knowledge and experience of the neighbourhood. I made an accompanying zine using some of the material generated by the project, including scripts, drawings, photos and archives for the Making Place exhibition at Primary in 2020.
